Charity Cups

A different charity every month promoted on thousands of vending, cafe and takeaway disposable cups.

One penny per cup sold will be paid to the charity whose brand is printed on the cup by CharityCups, a trading name of Home Counties vending company Vendesent (www.vendesent.co.uk).

For simplicity and accuracy, the penny is added on at the wholesale end of the supply chain and paid to CharityCups, the full amount is then distributed to the charity concerned. The initiative is funded by the trade and there should be no retail price increase.

With a target of 200,000 cups per month, it is hoped £2,000 each month will be raised in the first 12 months doubling if not tripling the following year.

Macmillan Cancer Support are expected to be the first charity to benefit as it secures the September slot ahead of the project launch ready to promote The World's Biggest Coffee Morning. Last year the WBCM raised £xxxxx and takes places every year on the last Friday in September. The PDSA will be using the November slot which leaves just 10 more slots to fill.

Adam Fahn, founder of ChairtyCups said "with the volume of paper cups being used each day, this a great opportunity to promote the charities at no cost to themselves, with the added benefit of a cheque for hundreds of pounds each month. We aim to fill the other 11 slots quickly with a charities associated with the months such as Crisis for the Christmas slot, Christian Aid for Easter and so on.
